italian vogue strikes again

I'm telling you, italian vogue is the best vogue there is. It's fashion in the real world. With real world issues. This month, italian vogue focused on the oil spills with model, Kristen McMenamy:
That's not seaweed.
and, of course, it.vogue is present in every little detail, the seaweed necklace isn't really seaweed, it's " a piece fashioned from recycled inner tubes sourced from the Gulf Coast. " (the cut). Now that, that is dedication to a cover. Everything is consistent, the models dead pose, the actual recycled seaweed necklace, the scenery...

Last week, arteBA took place, a fair of artists (both well known and upand coming). It was awesome, it does, I have to accept, have some weird artistic things, but they're usually like something you've never seen before.

Rachel Bilson does charity with Coach

Rachel Bilson -former The OC star- is teaming up with Coach to raise some money for the charity: The Art of Elysium
She chose three of her favorite handbags of the Poppy Coach collection, and part of the profit of these handbags will be donated to charity. (until August 4th)

I absolutely love Poppy Coach it's sooooooo pretty. And of course, extremely preppy which is just the cherry on top of the cake.
I love all of the Poppy ads, I remember seeing them everywhere when I walked around NYC. :) It really does take me back.

The bags Rachel Bilson chose were:

Poppy Sequin Spotlight

Poppy Sequins Disco Bag

Poppy Leather Bella tote

Great choices!

material girl blogs

As we all might've heard, Madonna and her daughter are designing a line for Macy's called: Material Girl.
And by the looks of it, it will be aw e s o m e! It will be on stores 08/03, can't wait!

So I've been literally googling to see more of this collection and I came across the official online site for Material Girl, which also happens to have a blog written by non other but Madonna's heiress/ very fashionable daughter Lourdes Lola Ciccone!

To add another twist to this fabulous collection, the you tube preview (which is also in the official site) has a model (not Madonna nor Lola), and.. we won't find out who she's till the collection premiers! Seriously I'm so curiious. My guess is she is Taylor Momsen (better known as Jenny Humphrey). So really it's perfect I absolutely love this combination of people!

remembering you

If tears could build a stairway
And memories were a lane,
I would walk right up to heaven
To bring you home again.
No farewell words were spoken.
No time to say good-bye.
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God knows why.
My heart still aches in sadness
And secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you,
No one will ever know.

Internet hasn't really been working at all, (that's why I have been gone for so long... sorry!) and so my only entertainment came from looking at oldfiles I had saved.

And, yesterday I came across these pictures, of something my Grandma was sewing, a top. Tomorrow it will be a month since she passed away, and I wanted to dedicate this post to her.

Cardon is a very well known argentine brand. It's sort of classic, embracing our past (Gauchos/Mate, typical argentine things...)

Ser la Primera Marca Tradicional Argentina.

this is some text I took from their web page (
The Vision of the company was to be the first traditional Argentine brand. (They have of course achieved it, not only nationally but internationally as well)

This image is their 2010/2011 summer add campaign. This collection was inspired by a province: San Juan (for instance the violet grape tones, earthy tones, leather, linen, black&white)
I like it, but it's sort of casual but elegant at the same time. And I love the colors!!

What do you think?

An easy way to get in touch with them is by following them on facebook (were they will be showing their collection live from the runway! pretty cool huh?).

This was there winter ad campaign, I specially liked it because it says BICENTENARIO, which means "bicentennial" (200 years passed since the beginning of our independence)

So what do you think? A bit too traditional for you? Do you like it?

long time no see

I'm sorry I haven't been posting for a while,
I've been having pretty tough exams, and I just got back from Paris...
Well actually that's not the whole story, I was supposed to be there for two weeks, but because of a family emergency I had to come back three days after I had left.... :(

But thankfully, I had a taste of lovely and beautiful Paris. The city of lights, what can I say? it was amazing!

Here I leave you a couple of pictures of the city of bright lights:

McQueen & GaGa

McQueen's final shoe collection!!
It was inspired by Angels And Demons, a selection of theatrical shoes.
INSANE! So au-vangarde, extreme!

What do you think? Are you HAPPY?

(I personally think they're all a bit too extreme, but they're art. The last one I'm really liking though...)
